Welcome to PSHE & Careers at Walton – In addition to PSHE, we deliver a structured Careers Programme guided by the Gatsby Benchmarks. These benchmarks are a set of eight criteria that ensure high-quality career guidance in secondary schools, and our programme is designed to meet all of them. Students have access to personalised career advice, employer interactions, work experience opportunities, and guidance on further education pathways, helping them make informed decisions about their future.
We offer a range of activities and lessons, including career-related trips, guest speakers, and workshops, allowing students to explore a variety of industries and professions. Our Careers Programme ensures that each student is equipped with the knowledge and experience needed to transition smoothly into higher education, apprenticeships, or the world of work, while promoting ambition and aspiration for all.
