Music at A Level

At A Level the exam board we use is EDEXCEL.

The A Level Curriculum focuses on 3 areas of Music: Performance (30%), Composition (30%) and Appraisal (40%). The first part of the composition element is completed in year 12-13 and makes up the 20% of the overall grade. The second part of the composition element is sat as an exam in April of Year 13. The performance element consists of a 8-10 minute recital, completed in March of Year 13. The Appraisal element is the written exam, sat at the end of year 13.
