A Level Results 2016
2016 ANOTHER EXCELLENT YEAR FOR 'A' LEVEL RESULTS
Students and staff at Walton High School are celebrating today after an outstanding set of A-level results.
Performance at the higher grades was particularly impressive with over 45% of the papers receiving the higher grades of A*, A or B and the overall pass rate was 99%.
Head teacher Neil Finlay commented: “I am delighted with this excellent set of results. I am particularly pleased that so many of our students have secured a place at their first choice University and I am happy that the hard work of our A Level students and the support of their parents and teachers has been rewarded.”
There were some outstanding individual results including Adam Hornsey who achieved 2A*s and 1B, Chloe Munnerley with 1A*, 2As and 1B, Harry Carr with 1A* and 2As and Yazz Bhandari, Erfan Moniri, Abigail Nobes and Jonathan Rees who all achieved 3As.
Early indications for 2017 are looking extremely positive too with seven Year 12 students achieving a perfect 4As in their AS examinations alongside the stunning results of Gemma Cairns-Smith and Katie Lord who each achieved 5As.
